The complimentary breakfast does offer decent options, and it's a good shot to fuel up before a day out. Conveniently located near a plaza with a Marshalls makes grabbing essentials a breeze.

However, I ran into a few hiccups during my stay. The room décor could use a refresh, especially in the bathroom where the grout and fixtures felt neglected. There were issues with basic amenities. I found only a single bath towel in a family room and no hand soap. The telephone was out of commission, and it seemed like housekeeping missed the mark on cleanliness efficiency—some areas got cleaned while others did not. A heads-up about pool outages and check-out times listed incorrectly would have been nice, too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere of Holiday Inn Express Irondequoit, An Ihg Hotel. The recently renovated decor and spacious common areas were not only beautiful but also easy to navigate for seniors like myself.
